Round 8 Pro Race Report

Thomas Brown looked solid in moto two until a
ground wire break sent him to the back of the
pack, and once he repaired the issue, Brown didn’t
secure the site properly, so he lost his seat
during the final laps of the moto. Brown’s
fifth place finish was still enough for to secure
him a spot on the Podium

Baron raced a borrowed KTM 450 in Moto 2
& finished in 4th place |
Beau Baron was looking good despite being on a different
machine for the second moto. After his transmission
grenaded in the first moto, Baron borrowed Vet class
racer Rick Ellsworth’s KTM 450XC in order
to race. Things did look a bit sketchy for Baron
at first as Ellsworth’s KTM let out a big
puff of smoke off the start. However, there appeared
to be no issues with the quad and Baron took off
to chase down his teammate, Cafro and battle with
him all the way to the checkered flag to claim the
third spot followed by Cafro in fifth.
The first-ever DWT World ATV Motocross Championship
series was a successful one and looks to have
a lot of potential to become a major west coast
series in the years to come as it grows in both
location and attendance.
