Kody Evans Claims the Moto 2 Holeshot and
earn himself a spot on the Podium |
In Moto two, Kody Evans was able to outrun Josh
Upperman to the first turn to claim the Holeshot
and end Upperman’s Holeshot streak of six
straight, but by the end of the first lap, Evans
had already dropped back to the fourth spot with
Chad Wienen taking the lead followed by Josh Upperman
and Thomas Brown.
The trio ran tight for three laps when bad luck
struck again for Thomas Brown with him snapping
an axle and leaving him with another DNF on the
day.
Chad Wienen would hold off Josh Upperman for
the remainder of the Moto to claim the win, but
Upperman’s 2nd place finish was more than
enough for the Overall win followed by Wienen.
Kody Evans would hang on to claim third, which
earned him the final spot on the Podium followed
by Jeffrey Rastrelli and Mark Watson rounding
out the top five in Moto 2.

With round 5 in the history books, many ATV racers
cleaned up early and headed to Phoenix for some
night racing action at Round 2 of the Supercross
Series, and youth ATV racer, Buddy Williams and
his parents received three complimentary tickets
to the race from Mushin Racing’s Cody Gibson.

Youth
