Championship Racing - Moto 2 Report
::Continued::
Moto two belonged to DWT’s Chad Wienen
as he grabbed the Holeshot and lead from start
to finish to sweep both motos for the overall
win at round 1, but Jeremie Warnia challenged
Wienen for the lead for nearly half the race before
Wienen finally pulled away from Warnia.

Warnia would hold on to claim the second spot
ahead of Josh Upperman, and Dustin Nelson claimed
the 4th spot. Amazingly, Beau Baron rounding out
the top five even after crashing on the start,
when Baron and Dillon Zimmerman made contact,
which sent the pair tumbling, but they both jumped
up and resumed the race without injury.

a 4th place finish |
Josh Frederick suffered a DNF when his engine
let go near the end of the second moto, which
ended a day of bad luck for the hometown favorite,
who hopefully will rebound on Sunday for Round
2 with some better luck because it couldn’t
get much worse.
Also, Mark Watson bent his A-arm, so he also
suffered a DNF, so hopefully he can get everything
repaired in time for Sunday’s round two
motos.

With Round 1 wrapped up on Saturday, racing with
continue on Sunday for Round 2, but the conditions
won’t be nearly as ideal with heavy rain
moving in Saturday evening and overnight, which
will make for some muddy motos on Sunday, which
could really mix-up the results for round two.
Check back Sunday night for complete results
and race overview from Round 2.
