“I’m really excited and bike worked great,” said Gonzalez, who finished second in points. “I’ve been testing a lot down in Mexico, in the heat and the rough stuff. Finishing the year off with a win is nice. Hopefully I can carry this momentum into next year and win a championship.”

Brian Sirevaag returned to competition here and netted his third podium of the season. Sirevaag sat out four rounds after sustaining a serious concussion in a frightening crash during practice at Sand Hollow.

“I’m thankful to be back out here,” said Sirevaag. “The track was super rough, so I just did my best. Honestly, after the crash, I wasn’t really sure I’d be back on a quad, but I had to do it again to prove that I could still do it. It is really exciting to come here and know that I still have it to be in the lead pack with these guys.”

Duncan Racing’s Kyle Fuller recorded his second podium of the weekend in the Pro Am event. He also finished second in the A Class race. He was running a special graphics package featuring presidential candidate Donald Trump.

“This is my first time on the Pro Am podium, and it feels pretty good,” said Fuller. “On the fourth lap, I really started getting my rhythm and just started charging. This was my first time running the Donald Trump graphics and I get my first two podiums. It guess he made WORCS great again. It feels really good to finish the season on a high note.”

The WORCS ATVs will kick off the 2017 season January 6-8 at Mesquite MX in Nevada.
