Pro Motorsport’s Matt Hancock, who had been running
strong in second until he had to stop for repairs,
but still managed to round out the top three in
the SxS Unlimited class, encountered issues and
fell back for a fourth place finish, while David
Martinez rounded out the top five.

In the Stock 1000 class, Chase Warren led the
entire race and came away with the win while Gilbert
Flores put his Can-Am in the number two spot and
Blake Barnum rounded out the top three. “It was
pretty rough out there. I lost my brakes right
off the start, but I hung in there and got second,
said Gilbert Flores.

In the SxS 1000 class, Blake Barnum took the
win, with Randy Anderson in second and Brian Cernius
rounding out the top three.
The increasingly popular Powder Puff class was
exciting as well with Holz Racing’s Danielle Weatherly
taking her third consecutive win. “It was so rough
out there. I was having a tough battle with Angela
Olander, and I finally got around her. You just
really had to be careful and drive smart out there.
This is my third win and it is very exciting for
me, and I am really looking forward to the rest
of the season,” said Weatherly.

Maxxis’ Jamie Piplic came up from a mid-pack
start and charged her way to a solid second place
finish, while Brandy Baron rounded out the top
three. Lisa Cernius came from the back of the
pack to finish in fourth and Donna Ellsworth placed
fifth.

Finally, in the Single Seat class, Holz racing’s
Ronnie Anderson grabbed the holeshot, and quickly
gapped the field, but he suffered a mechanice
issue in the fifth lap, which took him out of
the race, and opened the door for Jacob Shaw to
take over the lead for the win followed by Brian
Haag.

Round five of the 2015 WORCS series will head
to Sand Hollow in Hurricane, UT on April 17-19th,
where the battles will be heating up on the sand
dunes.
