Beau Baron Wins WORCS Racing SxS Championship

Jacob Shaw won his third straight race in the SxS Production 1000 Class. Shaw held the lead for much of the race and had an ongoing battle with Mitch Guthrie Jr. The pair had less than ten seconds separating them for most of the five lap race. In the end, Shaw claimed victory with a 05.944 lead over Guthrie.

Jacob Shaw earned his third consecutive win in the SxS Production 1000 Class at WORCS Racing Round 9. Shaw placed second overall in the WORCS SxS Production 1000 Class Points Championship

Guthrie, who crossed in second, was still able to claim the class championship after an impressive five wins notched in early season. Michael “Speedy” Gonzales rounded out the top three in the class.

ITP Racing’s #918 Justin Lambert took the win in his Kawasaki in the SxS Production 850 class, but despite his best efforts in the final stretch, Lambert missed taking the championship by just two points. #654 Chris Willing claimed the championship with a seventh place finish at the season finale.  Daniel Rosenweig and Kyle Melville finished second and third, respectably, in the SxS Production 850 class.

Justin Lambert made a hard charge towards the front of the pack to earn the win in the SxS Production 850 Class. Points leader Chis Willing got off to a great start but would finish seventh, which was enough to earn him the championship

Amelia Morton didn’t face many competitors in the SxS Production 600 class this year, but she raced smart and did something many racers didn’t and that was finish every race in her Polaris RZR 570.  Morton claimed five wins and won the class championship.

The 2013 Rocky Mountain MC World Off-Road Championship Series presented by Motoworks and Dirt Wheels Magazine Series has come to an end for 2013, and the 2014 WORCS racing season will kick off in just over four months back at Buffalo Bills Casino in February, and as SxS racing gains momentum, there will surely be even more competition, which will make for another exciting year of WORCS racing.
