WORCS Racing - ATV & SxS Race Reports

RJ Anderson Wins SxS Pro Production Class at Sand Hollow
Cognito's Ryan Piplic & Holz / Maxxis' Beau Baron Rounds Out Podium

Hurricane, UT- Round four of the Rocky Mountain ATV MC WORCS took place at the Sand Hollow State Park and OHV riding area. Aside from a beautiful backdrop, the brand new venue featured a rough sandy track and technical rock sections for the SxS race. Holz Racing’s RJ Anderson earned his first win of the year besting Cognito’s Ryan Piplic and Maxxis Tire’s Beau Baron for the number one spot.

The track was brutal & featured huge whoops, slick rock & massive sand dunes. The racers only had to complete two laps on the extra-long 13 mile track, so help from the pits and spectators was few and far between. Twenty two racers took to the starting line to complete in the Pro Production SxS class. Interestingly the series decided to run all of the SxS together due to the long length of the track; all together nearly 60 SxS's tackled the gnarly terrain at Sand Hollow in Hurricane, Utah

RJ Anderson - Polaris RZR XP 900 SxS / UTV
Anderson hasn't finished a race since round eight of last season, but left all of his bad luck behind and took a commanding win on the brutal sand track. He grabbed the win on his Holz Racing backed Polaris RZR 900 XP by nearly 30 seconds over Ryan Piplic. Anderson completed the two gnarly laps in 55:53.231. "I"ve really wanted to get a finish this year. When I finish I usually do well, but haven't been able to finish since last season. I finally got rid of the new car blues and my Holz RZR was working amazing. I am hoping to just finish some more races and have fun," said Anderson.
