1 - Glen Helen MX - Pro ATV Race Report::Continued::
Dillon Zimmerman, who spent a good part of last
year recovering from an early season injury, was
looking stronger than ever as he charged off the
line. Zimmerman battled his way up from just outside
of the top five and into third place by the second
                                lap.

#49 Dillon Zimmerman charged his way up
into the third spot early in the race ahead
of David Haagsma, but he wasn't able to
hold off Haagma & finished out the day
with a 4th place finish | Zimmerman held his position for two laps, but
fell back after Robbie Mitchell made the pass
after a heated battle. Zimmerman rode strong and
battled it out with David Haagsma and Dustin Nelson
for a couple of laps before falling back to fifth.
Zimmerman would be able to reclaim his number
four spot after Dustin Nelson encountered issues
late in the race, giving Zimmerman a fourth place
finish, which ties his best-ever finish. “It
as a good track and I had a good time out there.
I had a good battle with David Haagsma and that
was a lot of fun. I was able to finish in fourth
and hopefully I can do even better,” said
                                Zimmerman.

Mike Cafro, who is riding for Pro ATV Store this
season aboard the number 10 Honda, was having a
good race as he came off the line in the top ten.
Cafro kept a steady pace and despite finishing a
lap down, he still was able to round out the top
                              five overall for the day.

Yamaha / Golden West Cycle’s Josh Row was
looking good after recovering from shoulder surgery
just a few months ago. Row got off to a mid-pack
start, but he was on the move until encountered
a clutch issue late in the race that hampered his
efforts, giving him a sixth place finish. “I
was having a really good race and I had caught up
to Haagsma and Zimmerman, but I ended up smoking
my clutch so I just tried to salvage the race from
there,” said Row, who is looking for a top
                              five finish at round two.

Top 5 finish to kick off the 2012 WORCS
                                      season |
LMR Racing’s Robbie Mitchell came on strong
off the start in the top five as he battled it out
with Dillon Zimmerman and David Haagsma. Mitchell
was able to make his way into the number three spot
by the fourth lap and was hoping to close in on
the leaders, but going into lap six, Mitchell’s
chain broke, sending him back several positions
as he had to push his quad back to the pits for
                              repair.

“I was kind of bummed. I didn’t even
think I would be able to finish in the top ten after
my chain broke, but I just put my head down and
tried to put in some fast lap times to catch up,”
said Mitchell, who ended his day in seventh place.

practices, worked frantically with the help of
Golden West Cycle’s, LMR Racing, and H&M
Motorsports, to name a few that helped get Shelman’s
engine rebuilt for Sunday’s race. Thanks
to the help of everyone, Shelman was on the starting
line for the first race of the season and would
                                claim a ninth place finish.

Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson looked solid as he
battled it out for the number two position with
Josh Frederick early in the race. Nelson fell back
in lap three after getting hung up in the enduro
section of the track but battled his way back to
the number three spot in lap ten. Unfortunately
for Nelson, he encountered issues in the next lap
when his radiator became caked in mud and his quad
overheated, putting him in tenth place.
