1 - Glen Helen MX - Pro ATV Race Report::Continued::
 Can-Am/Motoworks’ Josh Frederick got off
to a decent start and moved into the number two
spot by the second lap. Frederick was able to
make it through the WORCS-Xsection fairly easily
in the second lap, but in the third lap, Frederick
got caught up in the huge tires and lost quite
a bit of time. “I got stuck and my kill
cord came off so Beau put a big gap on me. I just
tried to ride my own race and close back in,”
said Frederick. Frederick put the hammer down
and was able to close back in and take over the
lead when Baron stopped to pit.

#2 Josh Frederick found himself stuck the
beginning of lap three on some tires, and
by the time he re-attached his kill-switch,
he lost some valuable time on Beau Baron,
so Frederick's got on the gas & recorded
the fastest laptime of the race in lap 5
with a 7:11 as he reeled in Baron &
made the pass for the lead in lap eight,
                                      but unfortunately, Frederick would drop
back to second, which is where he would
stay for the final laps on the race right
behind Baron | Frederick held his lead for two laps before Baron
caught up to him and took back the lead. “I
stayed close and tried to find some places to
pass, but I couldn’t get around him. It
was a really good race and I am happy to finish
                                on the podium,” said Frederick.

                                Maxxis /H&M Motorsport’s David Haagsma
was looking good as he grabbed the first holeshot
of the season and took the early lead. “I
have to thank Curtis Sparks and Maxxis for letting
me get such a good start. I pulled everyone and
                              it felt great,” said Haagsma.

Haagsma was looking strong, but coming into the
second lap, the WORCS-X claimed him as its first
victim. Haagsma was caught for quite some time,
allowing several racers to pass him. Once he got
free, Haagsma was on a mission and was soon in a
huge battle with Robbie Mitchell, Dillon Zimmerman
                              and Dustin Nelson.

Racing's #422 David Haagsma may have gotten
the worst end of the stick through the WORCS-X
section, but once it was out of the picture
after lap three, Haagsma began his charge
back through the pack to secure his first
ever WORCS Pro ATV Podium finish | In the fifth lap of the race, all four racers
were close and battling hard. Haagsma was given
a bit of a break when Robbie Mitchell’s
chain broke, which sent him to the pits and a
lap down. Haagsma kept the hammer down and was
holding down a respectable third. Haagsma dropped
back to fourth after stopping in the pits, but
was able to make the pass on Dillon Zimmerman
to regain the number three spot and take it all
the way to the checkered flag, giving him his
first podium finish of his professional career. “It felt great to be on the podium today.
I wish I could have been battling out front, but
                                I’m definitely happy with third,”
                                said Haagsma.
