Things are also heating up in the Pro-am class with
Motoworks’ Dillon Zimmerman taking his fourth
win of the season this weekend and bringing himself
within two points of Pro-am points leader Josh Row.
“I have to take the win at the last round
to take the championship,” said Zimmerman
anxiously. Dillon has made remarkable progress this
year and seems to get faster and stronger with every
round.
Meanwhile, Bronson Bundy, who took third in the
Pro-am race, is sitting a comfortable third in
points with 122 points while his nearest competitor,
Keith Johnson sits in fourth with 102 points.
Angels Butler is also celebrating as she has
the Women’s A Championship in the bag, but
the battle for second is a close one. Julie Russell,
who has been very consistent all year is currently
sitting at 118 points, while Amy Horst, who has
also had some remarkable results, is only one
point behind with 117.
Doug Eichner may not be in the running for the
championship on the quad side of things this year,
but it’s definitely possible he could take
home the win in the Rhino class. Eichner currently
holds the lead with 109 points with his Polaris
Rzr, with Tyson Coombs in second with 90 points
and Mark Holz is sitting comfortably in third
with 81 points.

Racing's Mark Holz earns his 3rd Win of
the season with his Polaris Rzr after edging
out Tyson Coombs for the Win, but Doug Eichner
maintains the points lead with 5 Podium
finishes and has the title nearly clinched
heading into the final round |
The final round of the WORCS 2008 series will
be held on October 24-26 in Taft, CA where Honolulu
Hills Raceway will play host. It should be an
exciting round with many points battles to be
fought as there are several close races among
the classes for championships.
