Bark River Throw Down TORC
Pro UTV Race Report
::Continued::
In Pro Stock, Greaves, like he has at every race
this season, dominated. After winning the pole,
Greaves took the lead at the start and wasn’t
seriously challenged from there in his Yamaha.
Adam Reek took second from Kenny Masch on lap
three and he held on for the runner-up spot. Zach
Martin was third, ahead of Masch and Ryan Mulder.
The top five drivers were all in Yamahas.

“We just keep making small changes to this Yamaha
and keeps getting better,” said Greaves. “This
track was slippery; it went blue groove and it
came down to picking good lines. We’re so close
in this stock class that we’re splitting tenths
all of the time. We have the ultimate car. We’re
going to keep this going and not let a failure
be our own mistake. For running the big track,
these things are a lot of fun.”

Adam Reek was running just his second race of
the season and scored his first Pro Stock podium.
Reek nearly tracked down Greaves at the end.

One's Adam Reek secured his first podium
finish of the season in the 2nd spot in
Pro Stock

“I found a spot where Kenny opened up and I squeezed
him on the inside,” said Reek. “I latched onto
CJ and started following his lines. I picked up
on a couple of things he was doing. My spotter
told me that Zach was catching me, but I wasn’t
slowing down.”
Zach Martin said it took him several laps to
nail down the track conditions. Martin powered
past Masch on lap six and took third.

“It was a very interesting track today,” said
Martin. “Some areas were slick and dusty and others
were wet, so it took some time to get used to
the conditions. Kenny was playing a defensive
line. So we watched what he was doing and I knew
when to make my move. We’re sitting a pretty solid
second in points and I was sick this morning,
so this made for a good result.”
In the Sportsman UTV race, Jacob Rosales made
a last-lap pass stick and secured his third victory
of the season. He was driving a Yamaha.
“I was pulling him in for a little bit and on
that last lap it was all or nothing,” said Rosales.
“So I got that last push and got around him. There
was a little bumping. He gave it to me a little
bit, but I held on.”
The TORC UTV racers will run their second races
of the doubleheader weekend on Sunday.
