After starting in second place, Shawn Hess
unfortunately did not finish this weekend’s
race due to a broken ball joint. Although
Hess took preventative measures and installed
new ball joints before the weekend’s
race, luck was not on his side. Despite these
issues, his machine ran well and he looks
forward to the spring break event.

Shawn
Hess had a great start, but experienced
a broken ball joint that took him out
of the race after holding down the lead
for several laps
|
“Everything during the race was working
well, the HiPer Wheels, Elka suspension and
Maxxis tires did great. Unfortunately we had
a mishap with a broken ball joint,”
said Hess.

After getting off to an early lead in the
Pro Am class, Joe Hines took the win in his
Polaris RZR XP 900, taking home $800 for his
efforts. The second position went to Cassandra
Lemond and third place to Derek Porter.
|
The
battle for the Pro-Am win was intense
early on between #2 Joe Hines &
#1 Josh Maraseh, but Maraseh broke down
in the fourth lap, which left Hines
unchallenged in the final laps of the
race
|
“We never miss it and if they have
it again we will be out here, “ said
Joe Hines after the win.
