Yamaha's
#417 Josh Row finished in the 4th spot,
which moved him into a tie for the 5th spot
with #45 Colt Brinkerhoff |
Yamaha’s Josh Row rebounded after a rib injury
to go 4-4 for the day. Despite missing out on rounds
eight and nine the California rider tied for the
fifth spot in the points chase.
Row had made a lot of adjustments to his Yamaha
before the first moto and was pleased to be running
up front with the top guys. He rounded the first
turn in fourth and held his position until the
checkers.
Moto two was a little more eventful for Row.
He got a great start and was second behind his
teammate. “We tried to just move away and
distance ourselves from the rest of the field,”
said Row of his great start behind Nelson.
As the laps went by Haagsma and Baron both caught
Row and set him back to fourth place. Row is excited
for next year and is looking forward to a healthy
season with Nelson and Yamaha in 2013.

Yamaha's
#39 Jason Fife finished in the 5th spot
at Glen Helen, which earned Fife the number
four spot in points |
Jason Fife secured fourth in the points battle by
going 5-5 at round ten. He got a decent holeshot
in moto one but overshot a jump early in the race.
Fife had to regroup and put his head down and charge
to get by everyone.
The second moto presented a rough start as Haagsma
and Fife both had the same line and came into
one another. Fife came out of the second turn
in fourth spot but lost a position when he took
an outside line.
“Fourth overall for the year is the best
I’ve done. I showed up each week and rode
my race. I had a really good year,” regards
Fife of the 2012 Yamaha / Quad X Series.
Lance Hancock went 7-6 and earned sixth for the
day and seventh in the overall points. Colt Brinkerhoff
had 6-7 finished which set him in seventh place
for the day but helped him tie Row for fifth place
for the season. Jorge Guerrero rounded out the
top eight with 8-8 finishes for the day.

Once
all the racing was wrapped up, Yamaha hosted
a cook out with burgers, hot dogs, and drinks,
which was followed by the Championship Awards.
Finally, a table full of prizes were raffled
off including a Yamaha Generator |
With the 2012 season in the books many of the
racers are looking forward to the off season.
Even though they have some time before the gate
drops in 2013 setup adjustments, training regiments
and possible championships are not far from any
of their minds.
