#191 Dustin
Wimmer went 2-2 for 2nd Overall
|
Suzuki/Yoshimura’s Dustin Wimmer came in
to the weekend with a 106 point lead in the Pro-Am
class. He was sure to be the 2011 Pro-Am Champion,
barring an inability to start both motos. Wimmer
started the first Pro-Am moto in second behind
Creamer, with the pressure of Travis Moore on
his heels. Wimmer began to put a little bit of
distance between himself and Moore, but was unable
to catch Creamer and took second in the first
moto.
Wimmer was tight with Creamer right off the
line of the second moto, and throughout the
moto. Wimmer ran good lines and battled to make
a move on Creamer, but had no prime opportunity
and settled into second. Wimmer would finish
second, taking second overall for the day. Dustin
Wimmer now holds the 2011 Pro-Am Championship,
thanks to the support of his family, fans, sponsors,
and his outstanding drive on the track.

Jasmin Plante
raced on the BCS Performance's Can-Am
DS450 in the Pro-Am Class & once
again claimed a spot on the Podium
|
Quebec, Canada’s Jasmin Plante rode Cody
Miller’s BCS Performance/Can-Am DS 450 in
the Pro-Am class. Plante came off the line in
the back of the pack in the first Pro-Am moto.
Plante stayed in sixth for the first few laps,
but battled with number 224, Oliver Caron, for
fifth in the beginning of the moto. In the fourth
lap, Plante was able to make his move into fourth,
and shortly after into third. Plante would hold
onto his position and finish third in the first
moto. Plante had an excellent start in second
behind Creamer in the second Pro-Am moto. Wimmer
made a pass on Plante early in the first lap,
but Plante didn’t back down and stayed close
with Wimmer for the first half of the moto. Plante
felt the heat of Moore behind him, but picked
good lines and did not let Moore make any moves.
Plante finished third, and took a third overall
in the Pro-Am class for the day.
