NEATV-MX Pro &
Pro-Am ATV Race Report
::Continued::

2008/2009 AMA ATV MX National Champion Dustin Wimmer
had a great day in the Pro-Am class. Wimmer flew
off the line into the lead, taking the Nac’s
Holeshot Award. Wimmer held off Miller, who was
not far behind, threatening to take his lead.
Wimmer then began to distance himself from Miller
and the rest of the pack. Wimmer would take the
win in the first Pro-Am moto. Wimmer started the
second moto out in front, again taking the Nac’s
Holeshot Award. Once out in front, Wimmer put
a big gap between him and the other riders, staying
in the lead throughout the entire second moto.
Wimmer would take the win, finishing first overall
in the Pro-Am class.
2010 NEATV-MX Champion Cody Miller started the
first Pro-Am moto in second behind Wimmer. Miller
stayed close with Wimmer for the first few laps,
but began to lose distance with him, and stayed
in second throughout the first moto. In the second
Pro-Am moto, Miller fired off the line into second,
again behind Wimmer. Miller kept Wimmer in his
sights, but was not close enough to make any moves.
Miller would finish second, taking second overall
in the Pro-Am class.
Preston Young, Honda Rider number 172, started
the first Pro-Am moto in third behind Miller and
Wimmer. Young held off number 949, Brad Burbine,
early in the moto from getting by him. Young gained
distance on Burbine, and kept his place in third.
Young began to get closer to Miller, but was not
able to get close enough. Young would take third
in the first Pro-Am moto. In the second moto,
Young was off the line in third again, and would
hold onto his place throughout the entire moto.
Young took third overall in the Pro-Am class,
putting him on the podium for the first time this
season.
South Royalton, Vermont’s Brad Burbine
started the first Pro-Am moto in the back of the
pack. Burbine stayed close with Young for the
first few laps, but then began to lose sight of
him. Burbine would take fourth in the first Pro-Am
moto. In the second moto, Burbine had trouble
at the gate, but made it off the line and stayed
in fourth throughout the entire moto. Burbine
would take the fourth overall for the Pro-Am class
at Hurricane Hills.
Josh Creamer decided not to run the Pro-Am class
this round, due to the preparation needed on his
quad for the second Pro moto.
