Lyman, ME - Can-Am/Motoworks’
Joe Haavisto came on strong at round six of the
New England ATV Motocross series to take the overall
Pro win and reclaim the points lead. Joining
Haavisto on the podium was KTM’s Michael
Pilotte and Jasmin Plante. Canadian racer Jasmin
Plante would also take the win in the Pro-am
class.
MX207 was the hosting facility for all of the
racing action for round number six, the crucial
midway point of the New England ATV Motocross
series, which saw good track and weather conditions
as racers took to the starting line for the
first pro moto.

It was Can-Am/Motoworks’ Joe Haavisto who would grab the Pro moto one
holeshot. Haavisto would hold his position for
several laps before coming under fire from Can-Am/BCS
Performances' Cody Miller. The pair would battle
for a couple of laps before Miller would get around
Haavisto, leaving Haavisto to settle for second.
In the second Pro moto, Haavisto was third
off the line and quickly made his way up to
the number one spot, once out front, Haavisto
began to pull away and would take the moto two
win and the overall, which would also put him
in the Pro points lead. “I’m
really happy to back out front and I am hoping
to keep it that way from now until the end of
the season,” stated Haavisto, who is adamant
about holding on to his current champion status.

KTM/DRT's
Michael Pilotte went 4-2 in the Pro
class to put him on the second stoop
of the Pro Podium & nudge him up
the points ladder
|
KTM/DRT Racing’s Michael Pilotte, who had run into some bad luck earlier
this season after breaking his wrist, was looking
good as he flew off the line in sixth place and
worked his way through traffic until reaching
the number four spot.
In moto two, Pilotte got a much better start
taking third off the line. He was soon chasing
down Jasmin Plante and would take over the number
two spot before crossing the finish line. Pilotte’s
impressive 4-2 finishes would give him second
overall for the day. “My wrist is still
a little sore, but it is feeling better. DRT
is doing a great job with my quad and I am going
to go out there and give it my all at every
round,” said Pilotte.
Jasmin Plante, who has been coming on strong at
every round so far this season, would put in two
very consistent moto’s in the Pro class,
going 3-3 to take third overall. Jason Connell
would take 6-5 finishes in the Pro class
to claim fourth overall, while Canadian racer
Phillipee Bellerose would round out the top five.

in seventh. The number 111 KTM of Nate Morello
would take an eight place overall followed by

Can-Am/BCS Performance’s Cody Miller
may have taken the Pro moto one win, but
a nasty crash, after breaking his axle, in the
third lap of moto two would cause him to DNF,
sending him to tenth overall.
