East Coast
ATV's Shawn Welsh once again proved
he is at the top of his game and a force
in the 4-Stroke A class as he went 1-1
on the day
|
In the 4-Stroke A races, East Coast ATV’s
Shawn Welsh put on a dominating performance and
won both motos. Following Welsh on the podium
with 3-3 finishes was Roy Lampron and Mark Gehring
with 2-4 finishes. Round out the top five were
Scott Waters with 4-6 finishes and Artie Drouin
with a 10-2 finish
Women's class was swept by Team Southside Polaris’
Paige Whipple as she claimed 1-1 wins on the day
followed by Angie Maher going 2-2 and Amy Thompson
going 3-3. Although Thompson was up front for
the holeshot in moto one, she was passed by Whipple
and Maher partway through the race to be bumped
back to third spot.
In moto two, Paige Whipple ripped the holeshot
and lead the Women’s pack all the way
to checkered flag followed by Angie Maher, Amy
Thompson, Laura Pilotte, and Jaclyn Macquarrie
rounded out the top five women.
40+ class racers were on the move this past
weekend too, trying to catch the #66 Honda of
Chris Maher. Maher pulled both holeshots during
his motos on Sunday and went 1-1 on the day
to take the overall win. Following Maher on
the podium was James Favreau in second place
and Kevin Bean in third. Round out the top five
were Brian Hax in fourth and Delton Bohlman
in fifth. The top three were neck and neck off
the line but as the four-lappers progressed,
Maher would pull away from the rest of the pack.
Bean went 2-3 on the day but allowed Hax to
take second place away in moto two when he went
3-2 to break the tie.

will undoubtedly begin to heat up as the racers
will surely be tested at this track which is
known for its ability to break a rider down
and push them to the limit just to complete
a moto. Be sure to join us for round four of
the NEATV-MX Series and watch as BCS Performance’s
Cody Miller defends his newly gained points
lead in the Pro and Pro-Am classes.
