Moto two appeared to be a carbon copy of Moto
one at first with Michael Pilotte once again
grabbing the Holeshot followed by Miles Santaniello,
but the similarities ended at the start because
Joe Haavisto was on the gas as he worked his
way through the pack to take over the lead.

Nate Morello made his return to NEATV-MX
racing and scored a Podium finish with
a 3rd Overall |
Meanwhile, Pillote began dropping back in the
pack as the 2007 NEATV-MX Pro Champion, Nate
Morello, made his charge up into the 2nd spot
behind Haavisto while Santaniello settled into
the 3rd spot followed by Justin Hoffler and
Matthew Pomeroy rounding out the top 5.

Michael Pilotte, who finished third overall
still walked away with second place in the points
race and Myles Santaniello placed third for
the end of the season. Thomas Mofford who has
rode consistently all year took fourth in points
and Justin Hoffler rounded out the top five
in the Pro class points race.
Joe Haavisto, who was also the points leader
in the Pro-am class, opted not to race in that
class for the final race of the season. “I
already had the championship wrapped up and
even though I wanted to race, I didn’t
want to risk damaging my knee any more than
what it already is,” stated Haavisto,
who is scheduled for surgery to repair his ACL
on October 23rd. “I’ll be taking
a couple months off so my knee can heal properly,
then I’ll be back out training as soon
as I can. I’ll be running the same program
next year under the support of Kawasaki and
I’m really looking forward to it,”
Haavisto concluded.
Ralle Rookey was another leader in his classes
all season. The number 50 Honda road his way
to the top of both the Open Expert A and 4-stroke
Expert A classes early in the season, holding
a constant points lead and taking the championship
in both classes. To top it off, Ralle decided
to try his hand at the Pro-Am class for the
last round, since he already had his championships
in the bag and had some pretty impressive results,
taking the overall Pro-am win for the last race
of the season, which was not counted towards
any points for that class.

Mofford’s consistency continued in this
class as well, earning him another 4th place
in points while his brother Vincent Mofford
claimed the number five position.
