Chuckie Creech Takes
the NE-EDT Pro-Am Win
::Continued::
In the Pro-Am class, JT Racing / RATH Racing
/ Douglas Wheel / RAGE ATV’s Chuckie Creech had
a head-to-head battle with Michael Houghton for
the holeshot and was barely edged out by Houghton
for the award. However, Creech was able to slide
into first place as the packed rounded the final
corner of the track coming out of the options
lanes. Creech took the inside lane while Houghton
chose the outside route, creating a slight timing
difference which paid off in the favor of Creech.
Once out front, Creech never looked back as he
made sure to hit his marks around the course and
never made a mistake as he remained out front
for the fifteen-lap event to take away first place
in the Pro-Am class.

“Michael and I had a battle going into the holeshot
and I ended up going just a bit wide and he got
more drive than I did and he got around me and
lead for the first bit there and I took the one
option lane and was able to get around him and
into the lead. My MAXXIS tires, Elka suspension
and RAGE motor put down great power and traction
and I was able to handle the track perfectly and
come away with the win. I’m pretty sure I’m in
the lead in points now ahead of Brad and I’m excited
for the rest of the season,” said Creech.

Tru-Way Racing / PEP / Hoosier / FourWerx Carbon’s
Kris “Tiffer” Bures had another impressive showing
in the Pro-Am class, matching his best finish
of the season yet which he set at round three,
by taking another second place finish at round
four. Bures got off to a great holeshot in third
place just behind Houghton and Creech and followed
Creech into the inside option lane which allowed
him to slip by Houghton and into second place.
Bures remained in this position for the rest of
the fifteen lap race after fending off charges
from Houghton who was on his tail and trying to
advance.

Earnhardt Racing / Hoosier / The Program / Pippard
Performance’s Michael Houghton snagged the Deister
Racing / Motor City Solutions holeshot award,
just ahead of Creech and Bures to lead the pack
into the first lap of the contest. Houghton took
the right hand option lane and this proved to
be the slower of the two lanes as he lost two
spots to Creech and Bures. From this point, Houghton
had his work cut out for him but stayed true to
form and remained mistake free to bring home a
podium finish for himself in third place.

Vechery Racing / Elka’s Brian Ace had a strong
showing in the Pro-Am class as well as he battled
for the entire main event and was able to hold
on to fourth place just ahead of DASA / MAXXIS’
Brad Riley who got off to a mid-pack start as
well. Riley rounded out the top five in the Pro-Am
class and retained some valuable points heading
into the remainder of the season.
