Kinston, NC (5/17/2014) –The Hellbound Racing New East Extreme Dirt Track Series kicked off this past weekend at Ironclad Motorsports in Kinston, North Carolina.  Near pefect weather greated many TT racers as the stage was set for a great weekend of racing.  174 racers signed up to do battle at one of the most popular flat tracks on the NE EDT circuit.

The revolution was underway as the 35 plus class came to the line. As the 2013 30+ national champ Marc Noel out of Colchester, Vermont came to the line he was greeted by Terry Pope of TRE the top qualifier and Chad Atkins of Victory Motorsports waiting for him to pick his spot on the line.

Chad Spangler of All Purpose Solution the amateur class sponsor for the event would be next to line up. There was several riders coming out of retirement for this class as Bill Deister from Trenton, Michigan, and James Scott from Ohio would join the field and long-time TT National riders Shannon McClamrock and Brian Crossway joining this class.

With the TRE $50 holeshot award on the line the light turned green and Terry Pope would just pull a slight lead to cross the line and grabbed the TRE $50 holeshot award. Terry would use his own TRE engine power to keep him out front and settle into the first place position and kept the lead from start to finish with a great battle brewing behind him for the number two spot.

Right behind the leader, Chad Atkins tried to hold off Marc Noel for the number two spot with Chad Spangler who finished 4th sitting just behind waiting for those riders to make a mistake so he could jump into that position. As the checkered flag was waving Terry Pope took the win, followed by Chris Atkins and Marc Noel taking the last spot on the podium.
