2009 Montreal Supercross
ATV Race Report
::Continued::
Josh Creamer was also in top form as he charged
off the line. Creamer soon found himself in second
and battling fiercely with Natalie. “We
were going back and forth and I went to pass him
by taking this one jump, but he cut to the inside
and I landed right on the front end of his bike
and that sent me flipping. After that it took
me a little while to get my bike started and I
was in dead last. I made a hard charge and was
able to get back into third before the end of
the race,” said Creamer who was a little
sore, but ok after his ordeal. Creamer made a
hard charge and worked his way back to the number
three spot before crossing the finish line.

Cody Miller was in second off the start, but
in the first lap just before the finish line jump,
Miller and Natalie got together, which sent Miller
flying off of his DS450 and put him in dead last.
“I got back on and just gave it all I had
and I ended up catching up to Creamer in the final
lap, but I ran out of time before I was able to
try to get around him,” said Miller.

The 2007 Montreal
Supercross Champion, #22 Cody Miller,
battled with #91 Jasmin Plante early on
for the lead, but at the end Miller made
the pass on Plante to take over the 4th
spot with Plante rounding out the Top

Jasmin Plante was one the who would grab the
holeshot, but an encounter with Chad Wienen in
the first turn sent him to the back of the pack
as well. Plante put on a hard charge and soon
worked his way into the number four position before
crossing the finish line.
Can-Am’s Richard Pelchat would encounter
problems in the first lap when he came up short
on a jump, which caused a mechanical failure for
him and ended his day after only one lap. “I
am disappointed, but that’s racing,”
said an optimistic Pelchat.
Rounding out the top ten was James Bank in sixth,
Bobby Desjardins in seventh, Keith Bokla in eighth,
Karl Bechard in ninth, and Jeff Larent in tenth.
The Montreal Supercross is a unique event that
draws tens of thousands of race fans each year
and the sentiment of many racers is that they
are hoping that U.S. promoters take notice of
this popular Canadian event and can perhaps put
together an ATV supercross series in the U.S.,
sometime in the not so distant future. But until
that time, they will patiently await the 2010
Montreal Supercross.
