ATV Race Report

All eyes were on Chad Wienen as the gate dropped
to see just how well he would do in his Motoworks
/ Can-Am debut, and Wienen did not fail to disappoint.
Although he was only within the top five off the
line and got hooked up with Jasmin Plante momentarily,
the number 44 Can-Am DS450 had every intension of
making his first impression aboard his new ride
a lasting one.

#91 Canadian's
Jasmin Plante grabbed the Holeshot with
#44 Chad Wienen drifting to th outside,
which allowed #22 Cody Miller to move
into the 2nd spot

Chad Wienen
appears right at home with his new Motoworks
/ Can-Am ride as he claimed the win with
20 seconds to spare

Wienen began to move forward quickly, and a tangle
up between John Natalie and Josh Creamer in the
third lap of the ten lap race, allowed Wienen the
opportunity to take over first and check out. “Once
I got in the lead, I just rode a steady pace because
the track was kind of technical and you really had
to be precise on what you were doing out there,”
said Wienen, who not only scored the fastest lap
time but also went on to take the win by almost
20 seconds.
“It felt great to come out here and win
my first race for Can-Am. The Montreal Supercross
is a great event to win at because they have so
many fans that come out to support the riders.
We really need to have a seven or eight round
supercross series here in the states for quads.
I think it would be great to bring in more fans
and help our sport grow,” said Wienen.
Chad Wienen was not the only one feeling comfortable
aboard the Motoworks’ Can-Ams as his new
teammate, John Natalie was also looking good and
putting on a strong showing despite a nasty crash
just last week at round seven of the WORCS series
where he injured his ribs and shoulder.

Motoworks
Can-Am's John Natalie Jr held the lead
for 3 laps before dropping back to 2nd
place, where he stayed to the checkered
flag ot secure a 1-2 finish for Motoworks
/ Can-Am

Natalie was third off the line and soon began
an intense battle with Josh Creamer for the lead.
“I got out front and was leading for a couple
of laps, but Josh and I were going back and forth
and I ended up cutting in on this one corner and
I didn’t know that Josh had taken the jump,”
explained Natalie, who ended up having Creamer
land right on the front of his quad. The incident
sent Creamer flipping and slightly damaged the
front end of Natalie’s ride. “Something
was messed up in the front suspension after that
and I just kind of limped it around the track
in second place,” Natalie stated.

Kawasaki's
Josh Creamer & John Natalie collided
in the 4th lap, which sent Creamer back
to 9th place, but amazingly he was able
to charge his way back into 3rd to claim
the final Podium spot. It may be all out
war on the track, but afterwards the mood
changes as Natalie blocks off Creamer's
exhaust piple as he tries to kick-start
his KFX450R
