WORCS MAXC Racing Round 8 Race Report
::Continued::

“My mechanic and I ended up having to put a whole new engine into the Maverick after the last race because the clutch failed and ruined the crank as well. I ended up wrapping up the WEXCR championship last weekend and this is the only one I have left to win, which I’ve already got a very big lead in, and I could afford a breakdown thankfully. This weekend was awesome and I was actually able to get out there and hammer down on the Maverick and really push it to it’s limits so that was a ton of fun and good practice for us allowing us to test some new things as we prep for the rest of the GNCC racing season as well. The sand whoops got pretty gnarly out there but I just hammered down and got through them without any issues. I’m happy with the win and I have to give a big thanks to all of my sponsors for getting me up on the box today,” said Chaney.

Brett Wingfield MAXC Racing

Brett Wingfield finished second also in a Can-Am Maverick

Canada’s Brett Wingfield was able to put his own Can-Am up on the box as well with another solid second place finish for his season this past weekend! Wingfield came off the line right behind Chaney and began to give pursuit with hopes of running Chaney’s pace for the length of the race. With the help of a new co-pilot, and some suspension help from Chaney himself, Wingfield was running quite well on the slick and rough Indiana course and was able to keep it on four wheels for the entire race to bring home a second place Pro finish and second place overall!

Denny Aubery MAXC Racing

Denny Aubery rounded out the MAXC Racing Pro UTV Podium in 3rd in his Polaris RZR

Polaris’ Denny Aubery was having a great time for himself as well after coming out of the holeshot in third place and within tight contention with Tim Mashall and Jerry Boling for the lead. Aubery hammered down and was able to get by Marshall, who later rolled his machine up on one side but was able to get unstuck a few moments later, and then caught up to Boling. Boling and Aubery have been neck and neck the last few races and unfortunately for Boling, he suffered a mechanical issue, allowing Aubery to capitalize on the misfortune and run away with the Production 900 class win and take home a third place UTV class overall place as well! Aubery now sits in second place with eighty points to Boling’s one hundred and thirty two points.

The next round of racing will be held in Casey, Illinois at the Lincoln Trail Motorsports facility and is the second to last round of racing for the 2015 season! You wont want to miss this one as many championships are on the line and will surely be a weekend filled with exciting racing action!
