ATV Race Report - Continued
Once again, Ellis put down the hammer
in attempt to build himself a comfortable lead, but
this time it wouldn’t be as easy with Josh Frederick
also working his way past Schell and keeping Ellis
within striking distance. While the hunt was now on
again for Dustin Terry as he charged his way through
the pack as well and eventually caught and passed
Schell as well to take over the third spot.

It appeared that Ellis was on his way to yet Moto sweep
when on the final lap of the race he accidentally pulled
his kill-cord without knowing, and he was left sidelined
briefly trying to figure out the issue. This opened
the door for Frederick to take over the lead and claim
the Moto two win. Ellis recognized the issue in time
to claim the runners-up spot ahead of Terry. For Ellis,
it was more than enough to claim the overall win and
the $1,350 Pro Purse.
The win for Ellis (139 points) extended his points
lead to 26 points over Schell (113 points) with Frederick
still in the hunt with 105 points. The battle for the
fourth spot remains intense among Johnny Shafe (96 points)
and Cyle Chislock (95 points) with only one point separating
the pair with the season half over.

The next round of racing will be held once again at
Glen Helen on August 5th, which will be the final race
at Glen Helen till the season finale in December, so
