Dustin Nelson's Wins
Again & Kody Evans Claims 1st Overall Win
::Continued::

#97 Yamaha's Justin Noss had his work
cut out for him in both of his Pro motos,
but in his 3rd place finishin earned
him a spot on the Podium with 3rd Overall |
Yamaha’s Justin Noss was looking fast
as he came off the line in moto one just behind
Dustin Nelson. Noss would hold his position
despite intense pressure from Beau Baron. Noss
would hold off Baron for several laps before
taking a second place finish in the first moto.
In moto two, things did not go as planned for
Noss.
He was again in second off the
start, but early in the race, he and Baron would
do battle once again, but Noss would end up
going off the track when they would connect,
sending him over the berm and through the mechanics
area before he was able to get back on track.
Noss’ mishap sent him back several spots,
but he was able to reclaim the number three
spot before reaching the checkered flag, which
would give him the final spot on the pro podium.

#19 Jason Dunkelberger did battle several
times with Beau Baron throughout the day
each time resulting in a 4th place finish
giving him 4th overall for the day |
Jason Dunkelberger was looking
consistent as he would charge his way off the
line in third place in the first moto, but would
soon find himself under attack from Beau Baron
and would fall back to fourth place, where he
would stay for the rest of the moto.
Moto two was almost a repeat for
Dunkelberger as he was again in third off the
start, and would lose a position to Baron early
in the race. Dunk would eventually finish in
fourth place, giving him fourth overall. The
number 19 Yamaha is also currently fourth in
the pro points race as well.
Jesse Goss would go a solid 5-5
to round out the top five in the Pro Production
class, with James Rossi going 6-6 for sixth.
Jason Fife would hang on for 8-7 finishes giving
him seventh overall and Reed Petchnick would
hang on for eighth place overall.

Kody Evans had the start down pat as
he showed the other Open Pro ATV racers
how to pull a holeshot & win a race,
not once, bu twice for his first overall
win of the 2010 Season. |
In the Open Pro class, Kody Evans was on fire
as he flew off the start in moto one. Evans
would lead from start to finish taking the moto
one win.
Moto two was like déjà vu for
Evans as he held strong, despite pressure
from Dunkelberger and John Shafe, to take
the second moto win and his first overall
win of the season.
Evans now is within striking
distance of the Open Pro points lead as he is
only 5 points off of leader Jason Dunkelberger.
|
#8 John Shafe's consistency paid off
for him at round 4 when he went 3-2
for 2nd overall after a couple hard
fought battles with Dunk |
John Shafe pulled off two fast and consistent
motos in the Open Pro class taking 3-2 finishes,
and would beat out Jason Dunkelberger for second
overall after a heated battle between the two
in the second moto, which would leave Dunk with
2-3 finishes and settling for the third spot
overall. Dennis Capogni would go the distance,
taking 4-4 finishes for a solid fourth overall,
while MCR/Maxxis’ Josh Row would go 5-5,
rounding out the top five in the open Pro class.
In the Pro-am class, Justin Jones
was looking impressive as he went on to claim
both moto wins and the overall. Tanner Gemperle’s
5-2 would allow him to take second overall,
while Garrin Fuller claim third overall with
3-6 finishes.
