2012 High
Lifter ATV / UTV Mud Nationals Report
::Continued::
There were over 20,000 people in attendance for
this year’s event, which was up from last
year. Despite the increase in spectators, there
seemed to be a decrease in race participants.

Vendor
row featured many displays including Yamaha,
Arctic Cat, ITP, HMF, Polaris, DWT, Motoworks,
and many more |
Last years Can-Am/BRP Mud Bogs were incredibly
challenging with the first run taking over a half
hour to complete due to the thick muck, which
could be a contributing factor to the decrease
in participants, but this year’s pit was
perfect. Unfortunately, the decrease in racers
turned the usually several hour event into just
under one hour. Even so, it was still fun to watch
and everyone seemed to have a good time.

Even
though there wasn't as many racers that
signed up at the Mud Nationals there was
still plenty of head-to-head action &
mud slinging |
One of the top events at the Mud Nationals is
the Mudda-Cross. This year the CMRC took over
the event and incorporated the Mudda-Cross into
their series as the first round of the season.
The event was well run and exciting to watch.
The CMRC did a great job and we hope they continue
to incorporate the Highlifter Mud Nationals into
their series in the future as well.

There
were many tricked out ATV & Side-by-Sides
that entered the Bad to da' Bone Show &
Shine at the 2012 Highlifter Mud Nationals |
The Dynojet Bad to da’ Bone Show and Shine
is one event we look forward to every year to
see some tricked out ATVs and SxS vehicles, but
unfortunately, some of the best looking machines
in our opinion were cheated out of their due prize
because of ballot stuffing for some of the entries,
so we hope Highlifter will take this into consideration
for next year’s event and put a better monitored
voting system in place.
In all, we really had a great time. Highlifter
always goes above and beyond in organizing these
events and we are already anticipating next year’s
event.
