Foxburg, PA (9/21/2013) –
Chris Bithell put together an impressive ride
to win the inaugural Car Mate Gusher GNCC in
Foxburg, Pennsylvania. Bithell used his Reliable
Tool Supply / Maxxis Tires Suzuki to best Chris
Borich and Walker Fowler. Aside from claiming
second in the pro class, Borich also wrapped
up the 2013 GNCC Racing ATV Pro Championship.
Steady rain poured as the pro’s took to the
line for the first ever Gusher GNCC. The rain
delayed the start of the race for 30 minutes,
but that didn’t deter the racers from putting
on a show on the 10.5 mile course.

There
was a sea of umbrellas at the Afternoon
start of the Gusher GNCC with heavy
rain pouring down on the racers and
spectators |
Chris Bithell got off the line in middle
of the pack; he worked his way through the
pros and took over second around the nine
mile marker when he opted not to get goggles.
He passed for the lead just before going through
scoring. Once in the lead, Bithell dropped
the hammer and went through the mud as fast
as his ATV Innovations engine would pull.
By lap two, Bithell had stretched the gap
to 39.172 seconds.

Tool Supply's Chris Bithell claimed
his first win of the 2013 GNCC Season,
which moved him within 2 points of McGill
in the third spot in the points race |
Bithell kept his lead despite the deteriorating
conditions. On the final lap, members of his
pit crew were running through the worst mud
sections making sure he wouldn’t get stuck.
Bithell was able to charge through the slop
and take a commanding win! The Pennsylvania
native took the checkers by an impressive
59.640.

Pennsylvania's Governor, Tom Corbett,
presented Chris Bithell with the first
place trophy on the GNCC Pro Podium |
“I wanted the win. This is a home state race
and I put everything I had into it. The conditions
weren’t great, but the Suzuki worked flawlessly.
I so pumped to get this win. I just need to
thank all of my sponsors, my family, my pit
crew and the fans! Even with the rain, this
has been a great day,” regarded Bithell after
the race.
Chris Borich ran a solid race to take second
on the XC1 Pro podium. He had a good start
and was running in the lead at the pros approached
the pits on lap one. Borich pulled in for
goggles and dropped back to around fifth.
He was able to move back into second before
scoring and stayed there for the rest of the
laps. Borich did have pressure from behind,
but the reigning champ was able to hold his
position.

#1 Chris Borich just edged out
#13 Eric Hoyland for the GNCC Pro ATV
Holeshot |
“The track was pretty nasty. There were lappers
stuck everywhere and you really had to keep
an eye out. The Maxxis Tires / HMF Suzuki
worked great though,” said Borich.
