Gabe Phillips took ninth after mechanical issues took him out of the race on lap four. Chris Bithell rounded out the top ten after experiencing transmission problems that forced him to get towed in on lap three.

Brycen Neal captured his seventh win of the season in the XC2 Pro Am Class. Neal took over the lead on lap two and took the class win by 02:54.422. New York native Nathan Thomas took second in the class, which is impressive in itself, but to add to the excitement this was Thomas’ first GNCC appearance this season. Joshua Merritt rounded out the podium in the class.

Pennsylvania’s Cole Richardson put on one of the most impressive rides of the day. Richard took fifth overall for the day and won the College A (16-21) Class. Richardson’s ride also earned him Top Amateur for the day.
The morning race was dominated by the young guns with Westley Wolfe taking the overall win and Cody Collier finishing in second. The Schoolboy (13-15) riders seem to be on fire this season, and have made a few morning podium appearances. Super Senior’s Super Dave Simmons rounded out the top three and took the Super Senior class win.

Grand National Cross Country racing will be back in two short weeks at the inaugural running of The Gusher in Foxburg, Pennsylvania. The new race will feature virgin track and a lot of excitement as championships are on line and only three rounds of racing remain in the 2013 season.
