Defending Champion Chris Borich took third, which may have ended his perfect season, but is still a great place to cross the finish in. Borich was fifth heading into the woods and moved into third by the end of lap one. He battled all day with Lonestar’s Adam McGill, but never lost any ground to him. He remained in third the entire race; at the end of lap three the #1 was 45.516 off the pace of the leaders, but was able to charge on the final lap and close the gap to 29.282.Borich still has a strong hold on the points lead with a 56 point lead over Fowler.

“I kept running into little things and really couldn’t get find my groove on the track. The HMF/IQ Suzuki worked great, and I’ll be looking to come out and make a statement at The Penton,” said Ye Old Cycle Barn’s Chris Borich.

Precision’s Adam McGill put in another solid ride on his Honda. McGill didn’t have a great start and was riding in the back half of the pack trying to make passes for much of lap one; he was in fourth through scoring on the first lap. Once he moved into fourth, he worked the rest of the race to gain time on the leaders. McGill kept up a solid pace and remained in fourth for the entire race. McGill currently holds fourth in the overall points standings.

“I pushed hard all day, but just couldn’t make a dent in the time gap that the leaders had pulled,” regarded McGill of his race.
