Heading into lap three Bithell was in fourth right on the bumper of Fowler when the four pro’s headed into the creek section. Bithell and Borich took a smarter line and came into the finish with Bithell leading and Borich in the number two spot. The Suzuki racers charged to leave the rest of the field. Bithell turned the fastest lap of the day on lap four, an impressive 27:10.250. Bithell crossed the finish in second just 05.442 behind Borich.

“I didn’t have a great start, but I am used to coming from behind so I just put my head down and made smart moves. It was great to grab the lead and really take off with Chris (Borich). I am really happy with how my Maxxis Tires, FOX suspension, ATV Innovations motor and everything worked today,” said Bithell after the race.

Walker Fowler & Adam McGill
#2 Walker Fowler & #521 Adam McGill battled down to the finish keeping the crowd on their feet to see who would grab the final spot on the XC1 Pro podium. McGill would finish less than a second behind Fowler with a time of 02:18:16.921

Am-Pro Yamaha’s Walker Fowler had a good start and took over the lead for lap one. Fowler battled intensely with McGill and dropped to second during lap two. Fowler, Borich and McGill kept up a staggering pace and continued to swap the lead for the early portion of the race. Fowler fell to fourth on lap three, but began an intense battle with McGill. Fowler made the pass stick on lap four, but the wheel to wheel battle continued to the finish line.

“It’s pretty good to be back on the podium, feels a lot better than fourth! I felt really good the first lap and set a good pace. I had a good race, only made a few mistakes. I’m just going to keep plugging away until I get a win,” said Fowler following the race.

Lonestar Racing’s Adam McGill finished in fourth right on the bumper of Fowler. McGill had a good start and was in second on lap one; he took over the lead on lap two and continued to charge as the front runners pulled away from the rest of the pack. McGill dropped to third on lap three when the Suzuki duo passed him the creek section. He continued to push and got into a battle with Fowler. The two gave the crowd something to cheer for as they blasted through the chicanes just before the finish. McGill’s fourth place finish occurred less than a second behind Fowler. McGill finished an impressive 07:31.610 ahead of fifth place.

“It was a good day, I had a great start and got into the lead on the second lap and kept until the creek. I made some mistakes and ended up fourth for the day. My Precision Honda was working well, but I’ll make some changes for Kentucky and comeback strong,” said McGill.
