BNR’s Kevin Yoho had another great race, finishing in sixth place. Yoho got a good start and was in second, as the pack of Pro’s entered the woods. He dropped to third as they came through the first lap; Yoho persisted and although he dropped back fifth on lap two he kept up an exciting battle though out the race.

Yoho, McClure and Braden Henthorn kept swapping positions and went wheel to wheel for much of the race. Yoho currently sits in fifth in overall points.

GNCC XC1 Pro Class Rookie Braden Henthorn earned his Pro career best finish of seventh place at GNCC Round 3

Rookie Pro, Braden Henthorn finished seventh in the Pro class, taking the best finish of his Pro career. Henthorn fired early on the start, but quickly shut down his Honda to avoid a penalty. He worked his way from tenth on lap one to seventh on lap four. His consistent finishes have him ranked ninth in the overall points.
Eric Hoyland, Johnny Gallagher and Jeff Pickens rounded out the top ten in Pro class for the day. Rookie, Hoyland earned his best finish of his career at the round.
In the XC2 Pro-Am Class, defending champion Pat McGuire lead from start to finish to take home his first win of the 2013 season. McGuire took the win by an impressive 04:01.204! Fred Marley earned his first podium of the season by taking second. Class point’s leader Brycen Neal rounded out the XC2 Pro-Am podium.

In the Amateur race, Dave Simmons took his third overall in a row. The Super Senior 45+ class racer bested School Boy 13-15 racers Cody Collier and Westley Wolfe for the center of the podium. Collier and Wolfe took second and third respectably.

Competition continues to heat up as the AMSOIL GNCC heads to Union, South Carolina for round four. Questions remain, will Chris Borich grab his fourth in a row and come even closer to being all most winning GNCC racer of all time or will someone dethrone the four time champ? We will find out in two short weeks when the green flag drops at the VP Fuels Big Buck GNCC.
