Bithell continued to lead the charge for the first half of the race. On lap two, Bithell and the rest of the front runners pitted at the same time; the top four were all within a few seconds of one another and it was a race to get gas, get goggles and get going. Bithell’s pit crew rallied and got him going just in time to edge out Borich. The two Suzuki’s battled until the end, giving the crowd something to cheer about at each turn.

“It couldn’t have been more fun. I got a good start and got out to the lead. Usually on the last lap we all push, but when the two lap card came out everyone gunned it. It seemed to get more fun as the pace picked up. Chris (Borich) and I battled back and forth and it was great,” said Bithell of his race. Bithell’s second place finish boosted him to third in the overall points.

Lonestar Racing’s Adam McGill finished in third, earning himself his second podium of the season. McGill got off to a back of the pack start and pushed his way to fourth on lap one. He continued his charge and moved into third on the second lap. McGill’s described his race as rather smooth once he got into third.
He did run into an issue on the last lap when he attempted to ride up a bank to get out of the mud hole. He ended up burying his Precision / Axis Shocks Honda 450R ATV and needed the famous GNCC Mud Fleas to free him from the slop.
