JPMX's
Harold Goodman edges out Shane Hitt for the Pro
Holeshot |
The Pro Main had two rows of ten riders each roar off
the line and into the sweeper with Rage ATV’s Harold
Goodman grabbing the Holeshot. Goodman was followed by
Shane Hitt, Chuckie Creech, Mitch Reynolds, and Frank
Batista. By the halfway point, Goodman and Hitt had distanced
themselves from the rest of the riders. Hitt tried several
different lines on his Sparks Racing powered Honda to
get around Goodman without any luck.

The outside lane of the splits had become a split second
faster narrowing the track throughout the split lanes
making it harder for the riders to make a pass. Goodman,
who has been racing at Pine Lake since he started racing
on a 60-modified in 1987, felt the pressure from Hitt
all the way to the checkered flag, but was able to take
his Houser Racing Honda to the finish line still in
the lead.

the race when #43 Darin Ogden captured the postion

With the win, Goodman increased his point lead to 22
points at the halfway point of the season over Hitt.
Creech was able to hold on to the third spot for his
second podium finish of the year and move into a fourth
place tie in the points with 5th place finisher Frank
Batista. Mitch Reynolds was able to keep his third spot
in the series points as he followed between Creech and
Batista for a fourth place finish. Rounding out the
top ten in the pro class were Michael Coburn, Darin
Ogden, Brad Riley, Zach Stanley, and Trent Powell.
