In the seventh lap, Coburn made the pass on Rath,
and Riley quickly followed with the pair taken
over the front two spot with Rath moving back
to third. Coburn and Riley battled for the lead
for the remainder of the race, but Coburn was
able to hold of Riley to secure his third win
on the weekend and first in the Pro-Am Unlimited

Nathan Wolff scored his second podium finish
of the night in the Pro-Am Unlimited class |
Riley has dominated the Pro-Am Unlimited class for
the past couple of years , and 2013 is no different
with a commanding points lead and two wins, but
he just couldn’t get past Coburn to claim
another win. “I got up to Coburn and battled
for the last half of the race, and I about passed
him several times but just couldn’t get a
spot to get around him. It was his home town track
and he wanted it. I am happy with the way it went,”
said Riley who now has a 33 point lead over Creech
in the points race.
FOX Racing’s Nathan Wolff found himself
in an intense battle for Daryl Rath for the third
spot with Wolff making the pass late in the race,
and he held off Rath to claim his second Pro-Am
Unlimited class podium finish of the year, which
now has Wolff in the fourth spot in points just
7 points out of second place.

some valuable points of Chuckie Creech this weekend
as he jumped to within 3 points of Creech in second.

Chuckie Creech secured a top five finish
in the Pro-Am Unlimited class |
GoldSpeed Tire’s Chuckie Creech had his fair
share of bad luck this weekend, but he was able
to salvage a top five finish in the Pro-Am Unlimited
class, which still has him barely holding onto the
second spot in points. “In Unlimited I came
out of the hole in fifth or six. It was a good start,
I was second in points in this class and this rough
weekend will really hurt me in points,” said
Creech.
The 2013 Extreme Dirt Track season is now half way
over and the points races are heating up along with
the summer heat, and Round 5 is headed to Busco
Beach in North Carolina on July 23th, which will
surely be another exciting round of racing. Chuckie
Creech and Brad Riley will be looking for some of
the homestate advantage in North Carolina. |
