2010 AMA Racing Extreme Dirt Track Nationals - TT ATV Racing Series

DASA's Brad Riley Wins Pro ATV Season Finale at Busco Beach
::Continued::

After winning his heat race earlier in the day, the #038 of DASA / PEP / Fly’s Michael Coburn would slide his way up to the second place spot around the first few turns and remain there for the rest of the race to come away with an impressive finish to round out the year.

#038 Michael Coburn finished out the season with a 2nd place finish, which was his best finish since round 3 in his homestate of South Dakota
“I was behind Harold, and I was really trying to challenge him. I actually got passed a couple of times and was back in fourth for a little while, but then I worked my way back to second place. It was super close and we were having a lot of fun. All of us were riding as fast as we could and we stayed clean the whole time. It’s great to end the year on the podium in second. We have plans for next year and got a good idea of what to expect. My sponsors have all helped me out a lot and I want to thank them as well. We are hopeful for a few more podiums next year and will be looking forward to that!,” said Coburn after the pro main.

The #25 of TRE / PEP / Fly / Close Encounters Whitetail Outfitters’ Chuckie Creech would put his Roberts Racing TRX450R into the second place spot and would come away with a 3rd place finish on the pro box for the main event after an extremely fast paced, hard fought battle.

PEP's #25 Chuckie Creech held off #708 Harold Goodman to secure the final spot on the Podium

“I came off the line in second place right behind Harold, and I was trying really hard to come off that outside line but I was just slipping a bit much and drifted wide. It was chaos on there with so many guys and pushing as hard as we can for a full 20 laps! It turned out really good and I’m really happy to be up here. The bike setup for this year was all brand-new and we spent a lot of time figuring everything out. Wayne from PEP is a genius with these shocks and after he helped me with the setup my year turned right around and I feel so much better on the quad. It was great to come out here and get on the podium again and take that finish in my home state!,” said Creech after the race.

The Bumblebee, #708 Harold Goodman would come off the line swinging and rip the holeshot for the early lead. He would then continue his pace around the tight dusty track until later on when he’d lose a bit of traction.

“I got the tires pretty hot during the main and just pushed a bit wide is all. I came off with a 4th but that’s how it goes! I wrapped up the Pro championship on Friday night,but I still wanted that win tonight, but I just couldn’t make it stick. It was really nice to be able to come out here, take the win Friday night, and then have a relaxed weekend after that. After the bobble, I let the boys go and run their own race. Next year we’re really looking to bring it right back to the series again and with help from sponsors we’ll be able to do that and keep looking forward to the future,” said Harold after the race.

Brian Ace - Honda TRX450R ATV

Roberts Racing's #338 Brian Ace came on strong in the final 3 rounds of the season & edged out #53 Kirby Cooke for a Top 5 finish at the Pro season finale

#338 Hellbound/Roberts Racing/PEP’s Brian Ace would be able to come away with a 5th place finish after a tough battle with the top contenders. Ace would come off the line in about 6th place leading into the first set of outside-inside option lanes. Ace would then work his way back up and would do battle with a few riders until the pack settled out and he could ride smoothly in 5th place. Ace would ride on the rear bumpers of the top 4 and wisely wait for a mistake. Unfortunately Ace wouldn’t be able to capitalize on any such occurrence but would nevertheless race to a clean finish.
