Harold
Goodman charged from dead last to claim
the final spot on the Podium |
Harold Goodman spun off the start and was at the
back of the pack as racers got around the first
turn, but Goodman put on a hard charge, taking full
advantage of the many passing opportunities the
track had to offer and made his way into the number
three spot before crossing the finish line.
Due to a 10pm curfew at the facility, which lies
in the heart of Amish country, the Pro Lites and
Pro-am classes were cut short, which also played
a role in how Goodman finished. “I felt
like if I had a couple more laps out there, I
could have caught Riley and Coburn. I don’t
think I could have passed them, but I could have
at least closed the gap a bit more,” said
Goodman, who was still content with his third
place finish.

|
“I’m really excited to take both
the Pro Lites and the Pro-am championships. I
was hoping to get the Pro championship as well,
but Michael (Coburn) is a tough competitor. I
have to thank everyone, including all of my sponsors
for a great season and I am looking forward to
next season,” said Riley.

Even though the 2010 Extreme Dirt Track series
has come to an end, many racers will be taking
part in local races, and will head to Sikeston
Race Park in southeast MO on October 16th, where
Speed Channel will be taping the races for airing
later in the year as part of a Lucas Oil event.
This event is a huge opportunity for the dir track
racers with possibility of securing a full season
of Speed Channel coverage if the event is a success,
so it is vital that all the dirt track racers
attend this event, and more details will be released
leading up to the race.
