Can-Am's #46 Richard Pelchat went 2-2 for
2nd Overall |
Can-Am’s Richard Pelchat was feeling a bit
under the weather for round number two, but did
an excellent job of challenging Gee off the start.
Pelchat was close to Gee off the start but was edged
out in the first corner, putting Pelchat in second
place. Pelchat charged hard and hung on to his position
for the entire moto.
In the second moto, Pelchat was again in a close
second off the start and, just as he did in the
first moto, held it all the way to the checkered
flag for a second place finish and the second
spot on Saturday’s pro podium. “I
wasn’t feeling too well out there on Saturday,
but I gave it everything I had and was able to
get on the podium,” said Pelchat.

Royal Distributing's #414 Tyler Summers
launches over the jump past mechanics area
on his way to a third place finish to claim
the final spot on the Podium |
Tyler Summers was looking strong in the first moto
as he was in fifth off the start and worked up to
the number four spot behind James Bank. Summers
battled with Bank for the number three spot in the
first moto. Unfortunately, Summers wasn’t
able to get past Bank and would settle in for a
fourth place finish.
In moto two, however, Summers and Bank were battling
again, but Bank would encounter issues and Summers
took over the number threes spot. Summers’
4-3 finishes were enough to edge out Banks for
third overall and give him the final spot on the
pro podium. “It was a good race and I was
able to make the podium so I am pretty happy about
that,” said Summers.

Ben Hodgson rode a solid race and was able to
claim the number four spot overall for the day,
giving him a boost in the points chase.
James Bank put in a strong effort in moto one
as he held off Tyler Summers for third. Moto two
was looking as of Bank would take another third
place finish and end his day on the podium, but
a flat tire in moto two would put him back. However,
Bank would rebound for Sunday’s round three.
