Max Gordon Makes Best in the
Desert Racing History
::Continued::
“There are seven races in the season and we’ve
won six so far,” said Lambert. “It would be awesome
to get a sweep. It’s taken consistent driving,
preparation and teamwork. We’re pretty well oiled
right. We come to a race to win. We were doing
a little testing with a turbo car, so hopefully
we can learn something from this. We’ll probably
move to turbo next year. These turbo guys are
figuring out their issues and they’ll leave us
behind.”

Justin Lambert just needs to start the final
round of the BITD Series to secure the championship
in December |
Monster Energy’s Matt Burroughs charged through
a troublesome wheel bearing to score the runner-up
finish. With dust an issue on Sunday, he ran his
own race and has his eyes squarely set on finishing
second in points.

Matt burroughs put in another great race
to secure the 2nd spot in the UTV Production
Class |
“On Sunday, we started losing a wheel bearing
10 miles into the last lap,” said Burroughs. “We
just went for it and it worked out. We didn’t
get passed and we didn’t pass anyone. We got up
into Sims’ dust, but we couldn’t get close enough
to pass him. We’re still in second. Justin has
won six races so there is no catching him, so
we’re looking for a pretty solid second.”

Dragon Fire Racing’s Lacrecia Beurrier continued
her competitive season, scoring a podium finish.
She is doing her best to finish second in the
title chase. Beurrier lives just one town away
from Parker and considers this her home track.

Fire Racing's Lacrecia Beurrier secured
yet another podium finish in the BITD UTV
Production Class |
“I can’t thank Polaris enough, as well as my
husband and my son for their help,” said Beurrier.
“The big news is that we’re going into the Turbo
Class next year so watch out turbo guys. We came
into this race just two points out of second in
the championship. We don’t know how it’s going
to fall; it’s really tight. It’s just going to
come down to how many points I can get.”
The father and son team of Robby and Max Gordon
competed in the UTV Production class. With Max
at the wheel of the Arctic Cat Wildcat and Robby
acting as navigator they finished an impressive
11th in class and 21st overall out of 59 entries.

Gordon's 8 Year old son, Max Gordon, made
history at the BITD Bluewater Desert Challenge
by being the youngest racer to ever drive
in the BITD Series |
“It was probably the best race of my career,”
said Max Gordon. “My dad is a pretty good navigator
for the first time. I was dusted out a few times,
and I got a flat in the rocks. It was a lot of
fun. I like this track. It’s fun to go as fast
as the car can go and just skip over the jumps.
I want to keep doing this for a long time. It’s
amazing to do well.”

Gordon & Max Gordon celebrate finishing
11th & 21st Overall at the BITD Bluewater
Desert Challenge |
Robby Gordon was beaming with pride for his up-and-coming
son. “To finish his first race without having
any issues, crashes or drama is pretty awesome,”
said Robby Gordon. “He drove smart. He’s just
eight years old so for him to run 160 miles here
in the Arizona desert is pretty awesome.”
BITD finishes out the season December 1-4 for
the Pahrump Nugget 250 in Nevada.
