Laughlin, NV (2/23/2015) - It may
have been the BITD Polaris RZR UTV World Championship
Desert Classic, but there were plenty of ATV’s competing
for the number one spot, which went to none other
than Pro Motorsports’ Jeff and Matt Hancock, while
the team of CT Racing’s Danny Prather and David
Scott finished second and Cody Mitchell and Alexander
Ortiz rounded out the pro class top three.

their second straight Best in the Desert
win of the year at the Polaris RZR UTV World
Championship in Laughlin, Nevada |
Dry and dusty conditions were on hand for second
round of the Best in the Desert series in Laughlin,
NV. Racers in the quad and bike classes ran eight,
seventeen mile laps for a total of 136 grueling
miles. The course was fast but became rough in
the final laps and dust was a big issue for many
so a good start and getting out front was important.
The Pro ATV race started first thing in the morning
right shortly after sunrise. It was a dead engine
start and it was also the first time the Pro quads
and Pro motorcycles would start at the same time.
UXC Racing's Chris Robinson and Don Higbee were
the only quad team that had an electric start
on their Polaris Scrambler XP, which gave them
an advantage and allowed Chris Robinson to grab
the holeshot by a huge margin over the other teams.
Unfortunately his lead was short lived when he
blew a turn and went off course early in the race.

Matt and Jeff Hancock joined forces once again
for this race and were looking strong. Matt Hancock
was the first one to take on the dusty course
and took over the lead early on in the first lap.
Matt Hancock powered through a couple of laps
before handing things off to his brother Jeff.

Jeff Hancock took over and held the lead for
another two laps before handing things back to
Matt Hancock to take it to the checkered flag
for the Pro Quad win. “Matt had a great start
and he rode a couple of laps and then I took over.
I was supposed to race three laps but the course
got pretty rough and my hands started going numb,
so Matt took back over and we took the win. It
was a really good race and we had a lot of fun
out there. Pro Motorsports built us a great quad
and we are really excited to take the win,” said
Jeff Hancock.
