BITD UTV World Championship
- ATV Race Report
::Continued::
CT Racing’s Danny Prather and David Scott, who
are the current BITD Pro Quad champions, got a
bit of a slow start. “It took us about six kicks
to get our quad going, but we really pushed hard
and our CT Racing engine just ripped out there,”
said Danny Prather.

CT
Racing's Danny Prather got off to a great
start in the second spot at the BITD UTV
World Championship |
The CT Racing team put the hammer down and worked
into the number two spot. “We got up to second
and we were closing in on the leaders but we got
into the back section where it was really dusty.
Visibility was poor so we had to back off a bit
and settled for second. It was a really fun race
and we really liked being able to start with the
bikes. We ended up lapping about half of the bikes,”
said Prather.

CEET's
David Scott was on the move as they hung
onto a second place finish, which keeps
the team in the running for the Championship |
Cody Mitchell was the first one to take on the
course for his team and was last off the start.
Mitchell pushed hard and was able to work his
way up before handing things off to Alexander
Ortiz for a few laps. Ortiz, who was filling in
for Colt Brinkerhoff, held down the number three
spot for his entire time on the course and Mitchell
maintained the position for the final laps to
take third at the finish line. “I was last off
the start but I was able to make up a lot of time
and got up to third. Our steering stabilizer went
out on us during the race, but everything else
including our Elka shocks worked great out there.
Colt Brinkerhoff had another race this weekend,
so I had Alex fill in for him and he did a great
job,” said Cody Mitchell.

Cody Mitchell & Alex Ortiz rounded out
the top three |
Trent Kendall and Cody Funke hung in there to
take fourth place in the Quad Pro class while
Chris Robinson and Don Higbee rounded out the
top five. “We grabbed the holeshot and had a really
good run but in about the fourth turn I overshot
the turn and it took me a while to get back on
the course, so we were back in about fifth, but
it was a good race and we had a lot of fun out
there” said Chris Robinson.
