In the Quad Pro class Q5’s Keith Carlson took the win in style. Carlson had to ride Ironman because his teammate, Nick Nelson, was sidelined with a broken shoulder. BITD rules didn’t allow Carlson to find a substitute racer so he really had to put the hammer down.
Carlson started his solo journey off right as he got to the front of the pack right from the start. He was able to maintain his lead throughout the race but did suffer a few close calls in the whoops section when we almost went over the bars.

in the Desert Quad Pro Class at the Henderson
250 |
“My CT Racing engine was pulling really well and the quad just worked great. Everything went right,” said Carlson
Carlson’s win boosted him and Nelson into second spot in the points chase. The duo was pumped to finish on such a high note despite Nelson’s injury.
“This feels good. It’s my first BITD win. We’re very excited. This is the closest we’ve come to the championship and are looking forward to next season,” regards Carlson of his solo win in the Quad Pro class.

Maxxis' Matt Hancock & Josh Edwards placed second in the BITD Quad Pro Class |
Pro ATV Store’s Q8 Matt Hancock and Josh Edwards piloted their Honda TRX 450R ATV to second place in the Quad Pro class. Hancock took the lead and rode the first lap before letting Edwards take over for lap two. Hancock finished the race strong for the duo and the pair was happy to take second spot.
“The quad worked amazing. The motor was good, shocks were good and the tires were great. We didn’t get any flats and that really helped,” said Hancock.
