Best in the Desert - Silver State 300 - ATV & SxS Race Report
::Continued::

In the Side-by-Side classes the battled brewed between Jagged X Racing’s Brandon Schueler and the Coastal / Holz Racing team of Mark Holz. At the halfway point of the 298 mile long race, the Schueler held a six minute time adjusted lead over Mark Holz, but in the final half of the race, Holz stayed on the gas and reeled the Jagged X team back in, which made for an exciting finish.

The Schueler’s 1919 Polaris RZR XP 900 was the first SxS to cross the finish line with a time of 6:40:28, which had everyone watching the horizon for the dust of Holz Racing’s RZR XP 900 since they started 4 minutes behind Schueler, and sure enough, the Holzr Racing RZR XP 900 came into view and crossed the finish line with an adjusted time of 6:39:34 for the overall win with less than a minute between the front runners.

“We excited to take our first Best in the Desert win. We ran a near flawless race besides a flat tire that slowed us down some, but we were able to recover from it and chase down the Jagged X Racing team to take the win. This is our first year of racing the Best in the Desert Series, but our whole program keeps getting better with each passing round, and we are looking for the Vegas to Reno in August,” said Holz.
