(3/27/2012) - The 2012 AMA ATV Motocross
National Championship Series kicked off the 2012
season at the Aonia Pass MX facility in Washington,
GA as over 600 entries filled the track all looking
to make their mark on the new season.
The highly contested Pro Am Unlimited and Pro
Am Production classes would be polarized as the
weekend unfolded with the return of Walsh Racecraft’s
Cody Gibson and for good reason. Gibson put everyone
on notice when he claimed both holeshots in Pro
Am Unlimited class and cruised to both moto victories.
Gibson would be joined on the podium by William
Lloyd who would secure 2nd and Brent Sellers rounded
out the podium with 3rd.

& went 2-2 in the Pro-Am Production
Class to take second overall at Aonia Pass
MX in Washington, GA |
On Sunday, Gibson made the switch to the Walsh
Race Craft Suzuki LTR in the Pro-Am Production
class, but the results were the same. In Moto
one, Gibson once again grabbed the Holeshot and
lead from start to finish. Moto 2 would see Casey
Martin grab the holeshot as the field of racers
ripped into the Georgia clay. Martin’s lead
would be challenged as the first lap was scored
as Gibson pulled in behind Martin shadowing his
every move. Gibson worked past Martin taking the
lead and once again, and seemed to be on auto
pilot as he swept the Pro Am ranks marking a triumphant
return to the series.
