Yamaha
/ Ballance Racing's Thomas Brown holds
down the fourth spot in the AMA ATV
MX Pro Points race. After round 3, Brown
has only finished outside of top 5 once
aboard his Yamaha YFZ450R ATV |
Yamaha/Ballance Racing’s
Thomas Brown has worked the bugs out of his
program and has seen good finishes in the last
half of the season. Brown made the podium for
the second time this year at round number eight
at Sunday Creek and is currently rounding out
the top five in points, but Can-Am’s Chase
Snapp has been closing in. Brown has been in
close contention with fellow racer Chase Snapp
all season long and the pair has had some of
the most heated and entertaining battles of
the year, but Brown is determined to take a
top five finish at the end of the season and
has no intensions of letting Snapp get ahead
of him.

Can-Am
/ Motoworks Pro Rookie & 2010 AMA
ATV MX Pro-Am Champion, Chase Snap,p
sits just outside of top 5 in sixth
place |
Rookie pro, Chase Snapp had one
goal at the beginning of the season and that
was to make the podium. Snapp accomplished that
goal at the midway point of the season and followed
it up with an incredible performance at round
eight by beating out seasoned pros, Jeremy Lawson
and John Natalie, to take second overall.
“This has been a really good season for
me so far. I’ve taken a couple of podium
finishes and I feel good about that. I’m
not afraid to mix it up out there and I’m
going to do whatever it takes to get on the
podium,” said Snapp.

Racing's Joel Hetrick is currently only
28 points outside top 5 in seventh place
aboard his Honda TRX450R ATV |
One of the most anticipated wins of the season
came from none other than rookie pro, Joel Hetrick.
At the start of the season, Hetrick was a favorite
to find his way to the podium, and at round
number nine, in the rough, hard-pack of Unadilla,
Joel Hetrick stunned everyone, and gave everyone
a glimpse of what is to come from him in the
future as he took both moto wins, and the overall.
At Unadilla, Hetrick was in third
off the line in moto one and made his way around
Richard Pelchat and Nick DeNoble to take the
lead in the fifth lap. After taking the lead,
Josh Upperman and Jeremy Lawson were close behind
him, and it looked as if Hetrick would have
his hands full, but the number 88 Honda gave
it everything he had and began to pull away
from his competitors, finishing seven seconds
ahead at the checkered flag.
