::Continued::
Nick DeNoble would round out the top ten in moto

Custom
Axis's Nick DeNoble missed Round 8 due
to injuries from a wreck at Muddy Creek's
Round 7, but unfortunately for DeNoble,
he wrecked into the hay bails at the start
of Moto 2, which sent him flying over
the top & he was barely avoided landing
on the metal post, but amazingly, he wasn't
hurt & quickly remounted his quad
to continue the race, but unfortunately,
#7 Joe Byrd got the worst of it with DeNoble's
rear tire smacking into his hand and shoulder,
which left Byrd in pain with two possible
broken fingers, which could sidelined
Byrd for Red Bud as he also struggles
with injuries in 2010

|
#7
Joe Byrd has been plagued with bad luck
in 2010 & he is currently 16th in points
after missing 4 rounds of racing |
Joe Byrd was in a strong third place off the start,
but a bobble in the first lap would cost his a couple
of spots, sending him back to fifth. From there,
Byrd would fall back to finish in 11th place.
In moto two, Byrd would get caught up in the first
turn pile up and complete two laps before pulling
off the track. Byrd would get another tough break
for the season as he would suffer a shoulder injury
and a couple of broken fingers when it was all over,
which could possibly jeopardize the last two races
of the year for him.
|
#8
Michael Pilotte made his AMA Pro ATV debut
at Unadilla, but a mechanical issue sidelined
him in Moto 1 & he didn't return for
Moto 2 |
Cody Grant would claim a twelfth place finish
in the first moto. Grant would hang on to round
out the top ten in moto two. Harold Goodman would
claim thirteenth in the first moto, but would
encounter issues and have to pull off after two
laps in moto two. KTM mounted Michael Pilotte
would fall back to take 14th in moto two, after
a top ten start, but in moto two, he was caught
in the first turn and would DNF. Keith Little
would hang on for fifteenth in the first moto
and take twelfth in moto two.
In the Pro-am Production class, Joel Hetrick
would grab the moto one holeshot and go 1-1 to
take the overall and narrow the points gap between
him and points leader Chase Snapp. Jeffrey Rastrelli
got a slower than desired start in moto two and
had to fight his way through the pack, but in
moto two, Rastrelli grabbed the holeshot and led
for several laps before falling back to second.
Rastrelli’s strong performance would give
him second overall.

Hetrick
Racing's Joel Hetrick Goes 1-1 for his
4th win of the season, but he remains
15 points behind Mushing Racing' Chase
Snapp in the points lead
|
Mushing
Racing's Jeffrey Rastrelli held the lead
for 5 laps in Moto Two before succumbing
to Joel Hetrick with Rastrelli taking 2nd
Overall |
Chase Snapp had a great first moto as he would
take second off the line and hold his position
all the way to the checkered flag after an intense
battle with Hetrick. Snapp would not get the start
he was looking for in moto two and would have
to fight his way into third, which would put him
in third overall for the day.
