Dustin Wimmer once again claims the ATVriders.com
Fastest Qualifier Award |
Dustin Wimmer, who got the ATVRiders.com Fastest
Qualifier award got off to a fifth place start
and seemed to struggle a bit at first, but in
the final half of the moto, Wimmer got on the
gas and moved into the number three spot before
crossing the finish line.
In moto two, Wimmer would find himself in fourth
off the line and he would hold that spot after
battling with Wienen, Natalie and finally Josh
Upperman. “My quad was running strong out
there and I’ll be working hard to put it
on the podium at the next round,” stated
Wimmer.

Josh Upperman rounded out the Top 5, which
has Upperman 4th in points just 1 point
ahead of Chad Wienen |
Baldwin Motorsports’ Josh Upperman was
in fourth off the start of moto one, but he would
fall back to a fifth place finish after a tough
battle with John Natalie. In moto two, Upperman
was in second off the line and was holding strong
right on Josh Creamer’s grab bar, but it
appeared as if Upperman would encounter some issues
and drop back to a fifth place finish. Upperman’s
5-5 had him rounding out the top five overall.
Pat Brown would be forced to take a seventh place
finish after Can-Am Motoworks’ Jeremie Warnia
would get by him late in the first moto, but Brown
would come back strong in moto two to take a sixth
place finish, putting him in the number six spot
overall.

Greg Gee came on strong at Round 6, but
he will be missing from the line-up at Round
7 as he stays in Canada to chase after the
Canadian ATV MX Championship for 2010 |
Greg Gee was looking good for the first part
of moto one as he flew off the line in second
behind Josh Creamer, but the young racer would
run into electrical issues late in the race while
running fifth, which would leave him sidelined
for the final 2 laps.
Gee would rebound in Moto 2 to claim the sixth
spot, which earned him an eighth overall, but
Gee will be missing from the line-up at the next
couple of rounds of the AMA ATV MX Series as he
switches gears to focus on a Canadian Pro ATV
Championship
