- Birch Creek - Pro ATV Race Report
::Continued::
Yamaha’s Thomas Brown came on strong in
moto one as he was in the top five off the line
and held strong despite being under attack from
John Natalie for most of the moto. Brown held
his ground and was eventually able to make a pass
on Chad Wienen to take over the number four spot
before crossing the finish line.

Thomas Brown lead a train of racers in
Moto 2 as he chased after his first AMA
ATV MX Pro ATV Podium finish
|
In moto two, Brown showed his success in moto
one was no fluke as charged off the line to take
the number three spot behind Wimmer and Upperman.
Brown hung on despite intense pressure and even
lead for one lap when Wimmer and Upperman would
fall back. Brown would eventually succumb to pressure
from Josh Creamer and John Natalie to finish in
a strong third place, giving him third overall,
his first ever pro podium appearance.

with 4th Overall |
John Natalie was in the top ten off the line and
ran a solid first moto. Natalie would pressure Wienen
in the final two laps, but the Ironman was not able
to make a move before reaching the finish line and
would have to settle for a sixth place finish.
In moto two, Natalie got off to a mid-pack start,
but began powering his way through traffic. Natalie’s
efforts paid off as he was able to move into the
number two position before crossing the finish
line. Natalie’s 6-2 finishes would earn
him fourth overall for the day.

traffic in Moto two as he made a late
pass on Thomas Brown to claim the 2nd
spot behind Josh Creamer
|
Jeremy Lawson was in the top ten off the line
and kept on the gas battling with Jeremie Warnia
before he would take a seventh place finish in
moto one. In moto two, Lawson got off to a better
start and was able to work his way into the number
four position. Lawson was gaining ground on Thomas
Brown, but ran out of time before he could go
for a pass. Lawson would finish moto two in fourth
place, which would have him rounding out the top
five overall.
