::Continued::
At one point it looked as if Wimmer would have
to settle for second or even a third place position
as Creamer and Byrd slipped past him, but as luck
would have it, Byrd and Creamer locked wheels
allowing Wimmer to take over the lead in the final
turn before the finish line.

After
multi lead swaps, Joe Byrd held the lead
heading into the final turn followed by
Josh Creamer, but unfortunately for the
pair, Creamer ran into the rear of Byrd,
which locked the pair together. This opened
the door for Suzuki's Dustin Wimmer &
Doug Gust to sneak past on the inside to
claim the top two spots on the Podium while
Byrd & Creamer struggled to get seperated |

While
Byrd & Creamer attempted to separate
their ATVs, Baldwin Motorsports' Josh Upperman
made the pass to claim the final spot on
the Podium with Creamer eventually breaking
free to claim 7th in the Moto, but Byrd's
bad luck continued as he got hung up on
the hay bails, which sent him back to a
disspointing 10th place finish.

Everything happened so fast at the end, I don’t
even really know what happened. We were all running
so close, I was lucky to just be able to tuck
underneath and get in front,” said Wimmer,
who is happy to be back in the points lead. “I’m
really glad to be back in the lead. I just need
to have solid motos for the last two races and
everything should work out. I know Red Bud can
get really rough so I’m going to be doing
some extra training so I can keep my endurance
up,” he said.

Suzuki's
Doug Gust grabbed the Moto One Holeshot
and held the lead for several laps before
Dustin Wimmer made the pass for the lead
followed by Joe Byrd, which left Gust
& Josh Creamer battling for 3rd spot
as they swapped back and forth with Gust
claiming the spot followed by Creamer
& Josh Upperman in 5th

Suzuki teammate, Doug Gust put on quite a performance
as well and proved that he still has what it takes
to mix it up with the younger guys. Gust flew
off the line in moto one to grab the holeshot,
but fell back to second when Wimmer challenged
for the lead in the third lap.
