Union City, TN (10/30/06) - The Jeremiah
Jones Fund Raising effort by Joe Byrd & Doug Gust
was a success as they were able to raise $7,100 for the
Jones Family between the donation and the eleven students
signing up for the special Joe Byrd and Doug Gust Riding
School held on October 7-8th at the Professor Byrd’s
personal training facility in Union City, TN.
Students arrived from around the country for this special
riding school with many traveling cross country with
students from Washington, Northern Wisconsin, Pensacola
Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Ohio and
Kentucky.
If having the opportunity to receive riding tips from
the ATVA MX National Champion, Joe Byrd, and the WPSA
National Champion, Doug Gust, wasn’t enough, the
students also received a special treat when Doug Gust
snuck away for a few hours on Sunday to fly to Bowling
Green, KY to pickup Jeremiah Jones and his family to
bring them back to the Byrd compound to meet with the
students that attended this special riding school.
As usual, Joe Byrd provided all of his students plenty
of swag to take home with them with several companies
providing gift certificates and products to give away
at the school. Including 2 complete exhaust systems
from Yoshimura, 5 Pro Armor kill switches, Quad Tech
seat covers, hood scoops, graphics kits, and two special
Noleen J6 ride height tools and front end alignment
tools.
After all the gift certificates, hats, shirts and other
goodies were handed out they watched a tribute video
for Jeremiah that was put together by a close friend
of Joes by the name of Joe Dearmitt. It was a really
great video and a nice way to end the riding school
weekend.
For those unable to attend the riding school, but would
still like to contribute to Jeremiah Jones and have
an opportunity to own a piece of history, raffle tickets
are still available for Jeremiah Jones Suzuki LT-R450.
The raffle tickets are only $50/Each and there were
only 1,000 printed. The drawing will be held in less
than two weeks at the ATVA Motocross Banquet in Pigeon
Forge, TN on November 11th, and currently only approximately
500 tickets have been sold, which provides great odds
of winning Jeremiah’s $20,000+ Race Ready Suzuki
LT-R450, but don't delay because mail orders submitted
after November 4th may not arrive in time for the drawing
the following weekend.
