Yamaha's
2012 "Assembled in USA" Factory Tours
& ATV Models
::Continued::
One thing we though was cool about the new 2012
Grizzly 550 and 700 FI was the improved fit and
finish. The textured fenders provide increased
scratch resistance, to keep the machine looking
new for longer. The 2012 Grizzly also includes
a new easier access oil dipstick that gives long
term durability in its design.

New
for 2012, the wear areas of the Grizzly
fenders are now textured to help minimize
the appearance of scratches from usage |
Another
new feature added to the 2012 Yamaha Grizzly
550 & 700 is an easy to remove oil fill
access panel |

The
2012 Yamaha Grizzly Utility ATV is now available
in a Special Edition Metallic Sandstone
with cast aluminum wheels |
Yamaha is also offering up a special edition Grizzly
550 and 700 FI that comes standard with cast aluminum
wheels and an eye catching metallic sandstone painted
body, which is also produced in the Newnan, GA facility.
Yamaha first announced their plans for the product
transfer in 2010 and in May of 2011, that transfer
process began. Additional models will be transferred
as well over the next couple of years with a completion
date set for 2013. With this transfer brings a
long term commitment and investment in the U.S.
market for Yamaha and is a welcomed presence for
the Newnan, GA community.

Hundreds
of Newnan, Georgia employees gathered for
the announcement of the "Assembled
in USA" logo, which represents an increase
in worldwide assembly of ATVs & Rhino
vehicles at the Georgia plant |
“I want to thank Yamaha for bringing all
these jobs to Georgia. If we don’t bring
manufactures like Yamaha to this country we are
not going to be able to recover from this recession,
so it is with great pleasure we welcome this expansion
to our community,” stated Congressman, Lynn
Westmoreland, who was in attendance for the press
conference.
While the expansion promises to bring in up to
200 new jobs within two years and possibly as
many as 1000 over time, which is a huge benefit
to the community in Newnan, GA, Yamaha is also
reaping huge benefits from this progressive move.
The transfer of its ATV line optimizes manufacturing
capacity for the manufacturer while consolidating
production management and manufacturing technologies.
It also streamlines their supply chain since Yamaha
utilizes over 100 U.S. suppliers in its manufacturing
efforts, and it also speeds delivery of their
products to market.

After
the press conference, ATVriders.com's Harlen
Foley along with the rest of the media had
the rare opportunity to tour the Newnan,
GA factory to the assembly in action |
